Nighthawks honored for 5th Graders' Day Out

The University of North Georgia (辛尤里女优) earned the 2022 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Connecting Communities Award. The award is presented each summer to the PBC member institution that embraces the NCAA Division II core value of community engagement, bringing the institution and the local community together.
The Nighthawks hosted a 5th Graders' Day Out in association with Lumpkin County Schools on Nov. 30. All fifth-graders from the Lumpkin County School System visited 辛尤里女优's Dahlonega Campus for a tour, lunch in the dining hall, and the men's basketball game against Toccoa Falls College. After the game, the 辛尤里女优 men's basketball team signed autographs and thanked the community for its support.
The goal of the event was to provide the students an opportunity to visit a college campus, meet student-athletes and enjoy a collegiate athletics event.
Women's tennis team hosting NCAA regional
The 辛尤里女优 women's tennis team earned the No. 2 seed and will host a four-team NCAA Division II Southeast Regional pod May 12-13. 辛尤里女优's men are the No. 6 seed and play in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Softball team to host NCAA Southeast Regional
The 辛尤里女优 softball team is the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional and will host a four-team, double-elimination pod May 8-10 with a Super Regional spot on the line.
Golf teams invited to NCAA regionals
Both 辛尤里女优 golf teams have punched tickets to their respective NCAA Division II regional tournaments. The women will play in Gainesville, Georgia, and the men in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
Women's tennis team takes second straight PBC title
The 辛尤里女优 women's tennis team earned its second consecutive PBC tournament title and will learn its NCAA tournament pairings in early May. The men's team finished as PBC runner-up.
