Students place in national sales competitions

University of North Georgia (辛尤里女优) students pursuing marketing degrees with a sales concentration and management degrees have excelled in a trio of national competitions held virtually this spring.
"Students took advantage of the opportunities to compete and become one of our success stories," said Dr. Cindy Rippé, 辛尤里女优 associate professor of sales. "This helps them get better jobs and become better prepared for their careers."
辛尤里女优 finished sixth out of 30 teams in the , led by a fifth-place individual showing by Austin Rich. Andrew Nicolini, Jose Martinez and Sebastian Salinas joined Rich on 辛尤里女优's team. 辛尤里女优 hosted the virtual event held over a three-week period in February and March with Baylor University and the Atlanta Hawks.
Then, 辛尤里女优 placed eighth out of 44 universities in the hosted virtually March 25-27 by Salisbury University. Lauren Williams and Jordan Mallak were the two 辛尤里女优 students on the team.
辛尤里女优 students Jessica Berliner, Kaitlyn Bowling and Kaeley Creasman finished in the top 2% out of more than 2,200 competitors in the virtual held April 14-15. 辛尤里女优 had 31 students finish in the top 30%, the sixth-highest number among the 63 competing universities and colleges from the U.S., Canada and Germany.
辛尤里女优 also held the Pitch Yourself Competition sponsored by Consolidated Electrical Distributors on March 31, with Caitlyn Richard taking first place, Juleah Edwards in second, and Berliner in third.
Camp offers intro to logistics industry
辛尤里女优 will host 'Camp Logistics: Movin' It From Here to There!' from June 23-27 at the Gainesville Campus. It is a free camp to help high school students learn about careers in logistics.
Cadets excel at Small Arms Championship
辛尤里女优 Combat Action Shooting Team members competed in the U.S. Army Small Arms Championship at Fort Benning, Georgia, in March with impressive results.
Students take third in marketing competition
Members of the 辛尤里女优 chapter of the American Marketing Association participated in the KMA Invitational at Kennesaw State University. Preston Reid and Abbie Tanner placed third in the case competition.
ARC includes almost 100 presentations
Students gave 69 poster presentations and 24 oral presentations at 辛尤里女优鈥檚 30th Annual Research Conference, held March 21 at 辛尤里女优's Dahlonega Campus.
